The Story of ABIDE Events
WE ARE A COMPANY BUILT ON A SHARED CALLING TO SERVE OTHERS THROUGH INTENTIONAL DESIGN AND MINISTRY.
ABIDE Events was founded on the belief that celebrations are more than moments on a calendar—they are sacred milestones meant to be honored with intention, beauty, and care. Co-owned by husband and wife team Steven and Jacquole Johnson, ABIDE Events exists to create thoughtfully designed, spirit-filled gatherings that reflect purpose, covenant, and community.
The name ABIDE is rooted in Scripture, drawn from John 15:4–7, where Jesus calls us to remain in Him so that our lives may bear lasting fruit. This passage serves as the spiritual foundation of the brand and guides every aspect of how ABIDE Events serves its clients—remaining grounded, intentional, and connected to what truly matters.
In 2025, we formally established ABIDE Events, bringing together nearly two decades of combined experience in event hosting, coordination, décor, and ministry service under one intentional brand. While the business itself is new in name, its foundation is deeply seasoned—built on years of hands-on experience and trusted relationships.

Steven and Jacquole were married on August 8, 2009, at the LSU Faculty Club, a day that marked not only the beginning of their marriage but the foundation of a shared calling to serve others. Together, they have built their family and their businesses on faith, service, and integrity.
They are the proud parents of two children: Chandler Route, their adult son who is honorably serving our country in the United States Army National Guard, and Savannah Johnson, their daughter, who is currently in high school and enjoys competing in and participating in multiple sports.
Steven’s path into ministry further shaped the heart of ABIDE Events. Ordained as a minister in 2013, he brings spiritual leadership, pastoral care, and a calm, grounding presence to the work. Faith in Jesus Christ, and the call to abide in Him, shapes how ABIDE Events shows up—with humility, integrity, and a commitment to excellence.
WITHOUT THE SUPPORT WE'VE RECEIVED, ABIDE EVENTS WOULD NOT BE WHAT IT IS TODAY. WE VIEW OUR ROLE AS STEWARDS OF MOMENTS THAT WILL BE REMEMBERED FOR A LIFETIME.
